Rain caused it to be moved to Sunday and left time for us to catch some great surf.  Sunday was chilly with the stout cold front, but the skating was hot as always. EZ-7 was ripped by young ones to old men as spectators lined both sides of the ditch.

  This was a great 2 day event filled with skateboarding, bands, a car show and one big party with no rules like the SUAS events back in the day.  Oliver, Mike and the whole overground crew did a great job adding a new indoor course to go with a massive vert ramp and mini ramp.  
Day 1 
  Some serious vert demolition that carried on well into the dark.  Skaters = Troy Chason, Chris Gentry, Justin Lynch, Neal Hendrix, Jon Comer, Henry Gutierrez, Adam Effertz "Scissors", Raney Beres, Chris Wilkinson, Adam Wiggins, Jeremy Smith, Lance Childers, William Cortez, Steve Workman and more.  All this followed up by some more skating indoors and a live band.  Lot's of shredding on the bricks of the bank wall, wall rides with one to the ceiling beam with a grab to drop fakie.  Highlight was when Raney did a FS Wallride to air throught the corner to wallride out.

A fun event to officially open the park and name it in honor of Garrett Hysmith a local skater who had brain cancer.  A lot of friends and kids got together and pushed for a a park and made it happen!  Here are photos of some of the pool shredding by Pro Jon Comer, Adam Wiggins, Max Peterson, Jeremey Smith,  Dave Donalson and more.

Great event with a huge line up of legends.  Believe it was March of 1986 and the only time the Kahuna was painted red at the Skatepark of Houston.

What a great event!  killer skating by Chris Gentry, Mike Crum, Neal Hendrix, Hosoi, PLG, Jake Brown, Darren Navarrette, Al Partanen, Gary Morris, and more.  Hosoi grabbed a vintage Sims Phillips set up, dropped in  and started off a nice series of tribute runs on it that included Gary Morris, PLG and Al Partanen.  Lot's of Texas  legends like John Gibson, Todd Prince, Craig Johnson, Billy Smith, Buckit hangin out, signing stuff and adding to the party!  Big thanks to Mike Crum, Oliver and his ramp crew that busted ass insane hours to make this possible and Billy Smith for his electrical input and anyone else I may have forgot.  Cool photos of Phillips and also ones by Neal Hendrix inside the warehouse added more to check out.

After recovering from the RAT tour the guys got up early and skated with us at Bear Branch in the Woodlands TX.  Fun session and great way to start off a day.

Barry and crew put on another good night of music for everyone to session to!  Crime Wave played first and were great punk rock.  Next up was the Fun Boys with a Screamers 70's type punk sound featuring a keyboard - good stuff.  Last up was Disfrutalos with a cool eclectic jam style.  Great for a night of music filled skating.  Maybe i'll get some pool pics nest time instead of skating...
